Tseng stands out in a crowd- when he chooses to. East Asian in a society predominately White and Japanese. His hair is long, jet black, and kept loose- but no one will ever mistake him for a woman. He's about as feminine as a mailbox. He's tall - five foot nine – the only Turk taller than him is Rude, but then, he's never needed height as a weapon.
His history is his own, and no one's business. Rumors exist, of course. Rufus is the most aware of anyone, but even then, he doesn’t know nearly as much as he thinks he does.
In the attack that killed Rufus' father, Tseng was badly injured and nearly died. As a result, his collection of scars includes a blade cut, across his midriff, that's a constant reminder of his failure. Rufus' illness left things strained between the pair who otherwise have developed a near-telepathic relationship, but now that Rufus is no longer restricted to the wheelchair, things should return to normal between them.
Tseng is taciturn. Outwardly cold, no-nonsense, and occasionally temperamental leader of the Turks. He's well aware of the specific needs and abilities and characteristics of his men (and women) but will not allow any insubordination, nonetheless. A direct challenge to his authority is met with a direct repercussion, and he is quick to remind his men that they are not irreplaceable.
That said, Tseng is fiercely loyal, and protective, of the Turks. They are His and those over the years have learned that to touch those in suits and ties and the scent of ShinRa is to have a death wish. ShinRa controls much of the current energy sphere, is capable of massive research and intelligence-
And once set upon a target, will not back down until it is destroyed.
